Accident Management - Sheffield

Road safety charity Brake has revealed that in 2020, there were 152 casualties killed or seriously injured in collisions in Sheffield, which was the highest figure for anywhere in Yorkshire and the Humber. We understand how stressful car accidents can be, so we try to take away as much stress as we can, by handling the whole claims process and saving you money.

When you're in a car accident and make a claim with your insurance company, you’re charged excess, whether the accident was your fault or not. The average cost of UK comprehensive car insurance was £416 in the first three months of 2022. However, your age, car and location can affect the price you pay by up to 500% or more. We don’t think you should have to pay any more than you already do after an accident.

At Claimsline, we offer free claims management services in Sheffield and all around the UK. Our services are free of charge and you don’t pay any excess. We have helped thousands of people make a claim and helped them get back on the road after an accident that wasn’t their fault. Along with this, we also provide same-day like-for-like replacement vehicles, manufactured-approved body shops for vehicle repairs, and roadside recovery within two hours.

How Does Claimsline Work?

1. Contact us

To see if you could make a claim, contact one of our friendly advisors straight away. They will be able to find out if you can make a claim and walk you through the whole process.

2. Roadside recovery

If your car has been too damaged to drive home, we will ensure you get roadside recovery within two hours.

3. Like-for-like (or better) replacement vehicle

While your car is being repaired, we will provide you with a free replacement vehicle. The cars we provide are like-for-like (or better) and suit your individual needs.

4. Manufactured-approved body shop

We arrange for your vehicle to be repaired at a manufactured-approved body shop and ensure it is not returned until it is as good as it was pre-accident. If the vehicle is beyond repair (cannot be fixed), we will allow you to use your replacement vehicle for an extra week so you’ve got enough time to sort out another vehicle.

5. Recoverable losses

If you lost/damaged any of your possessions during the accident, we will include these in your claim. An example of a recoverable loss are car seats.

6. Loss of earnings and personal injury claims

If you were unable to work because of the accident or have any injuries, you may be entitled to claim compensation.

  • Dedicated point of contact
  • Same-day, like-for-like replacement vehicle

Replacement Vehicles

If your car was damaged during the accident we can provide you with a free, same-day, like-for-like replacement vehicle. Insurance policies don't usually offer a guaranteed "like-for-like" vehicle. This is something that many people don't know. We guarantee we can offer you a vehicle of similar size, specification, and value. We charge any cost to the at-fault drivers insurance company, so you don’t pay anything.

When do I have to give the car back?

You can keep the car until your car has been repaired. If your vehicle has been written off (beyond repair), you can continue using your Claimsline courtesy car for another 7 days, so you have time to arrange a new vehicle.

Do I have to pay for fuel in my courtesy car?

Vehicles are usually supplied full of fuel and we simply ask that you refill the vehicle with the correct type of fuel on return.

What if the driver at fault isn’t insured?

Unfortunately, we will not be able to help you if this is the case.

Vehicle Repairs

We use our network of manufacturers approved bodyshops to complete all the repairs on your vehicle. They will assess the damage and fix the vehicle if they can. If they’re unable to fix your car because it has been deemed beyond repair, we will negotiate with the other driver’s insurance company to make sure you’re paid a fair amount. We also allow you to keep your courtesy car for an additional week so you have time to make other arrangements and replace your vehicle. Your car will not be returned to you until it is as good as it was pre-accident.

Vehicle Storage

While your vehicle is being repaired, we will ensure it is kept in a safe and secure place. Giving you peace of mind, when your car goes off to be repaired.

Access to personal injury solicitors after a non-fault accident

We are an industry-leading business who are regulated and authorised by the Finance Conduct Authority. We work with some of the most experienced and respected solicitors in the industry, who can help you claim back for any injuries obtained during the accident. Our panel of solicitors are authorised and regulated by the SRA. They have been carefully selected and adhere to the highest level of service that both our clients and us expect. We will choose a solicitor on our panel that is best suited to your individual claim. We do this because we want to ensure that you get the best help possible during your claim.

Please note, you will receive a fee to be introduced to one of the solicitors. You do not need to use a claims management company to make a Personal Injury claim. You can do this yourself for free using the Claims Injury Portal if your claim falls under its remit.

Dedicated account managers

We hate bad customer service at Claimsline, so we go with a more personal approach. We provide a direct line straight to the person you’ll be dealing with, so you aren’t being passed around from department to department. Our team are experts in dealing with accidents, guiding you through the process and thinking on their feet to provide you with the best possible service they can.

What do our customers say?

“Had a minor bump in June with my car. Claimsline have been great to deal with, polite and very helpful staff. Willing to help and sort out any problems.”

Why do people use claims management companies?

One of the main reasons people use claims management services is to avoid paying excess, a like-for-like replacement vehicle, approved repairs, no long hold times and decided staff. It is an excellent service for victims who are not responsible for any additional costs. They manage the claim from beginning to end so you can sit back and let them do all the work.

Do you need a claims management firm?

While we see it as the better option, you do not need a claims management firm.

Can you help me with uninsured losses and uninsured loss recovery?

Unfortunately in these circumstances, we can't.

How much does it cost to hire an claims management firm?

It is completely free to make a claim with Claimsline if you were in an accident that wasn’t your fault.

How do you define credit-hire?

Credit hire is when a temporary replacement vehicle is provided in the event of a non-fault road car accident, and the credit hire company pays for the car hire while your vehicle is being fixed. They claim any hire charges back from the at-fault driver's insurance company.
