How Does Claimsline Work?

1. Contact us and start your claim

Contact Claimsline as soon as possible after the accident (once it is safe to do so and you’ve collected your evidence). You will be put through to a UK contact centre, where you will speak to one of our expert advisors. They will be able to find out if you can make a claim and walk you through the whole process.

2. Roadside recovery

If you’re unable to get home after the accident, we will arrange for roadside recovery within two hours, so you can get on with your day.

3. Courtesy car

While your car is being repaired, we will provide you with a free replacement vehicle. If we cannot find one similar to your car, we will provide you with a better one on the same or next day after the accident. That way you can get back on the road as soon as possible.

4. Manufactured-approved body shop

Don’t worry about taking your car to be fixed. We arrange for your vehicle to be repaired at a manufactured-approved body shop so you don’t have to. We make sure that all the work done on your vehicle will be done at the highest standard and the car is not returned until it is as good as it was pre-accident.

5. Recoverable losses

Recoverable losses are your possessions that were damaged during the accident, such as car seats. We will help you identify any recoverable losses and help you claim back the money to replace them.

We have access to a variety of trusted manufactured-approved body shops in Manchester and around the UK. They will carry out an assessment of the damage and repair the damages if possible. We will make sure that your car doesn’t get returned until it is as good as it was before the accident took place. You can keep your courtesy car for an additional week if we’re unable to fix your car, giving you some more time to replace it. We’ll also negotiate with the other driver’s insurance company to make sure you’re paid a fair amount.

When do I have to give the car back?

You can keep the car until your car has been repaired. If your vehicle has been written off (beyond repair), you can continue using your Claimsline courtesy car for another 7 days, so you have time to arrange a new vehicle.

Is the fuel free?

No. Vehicles are usually supplied full of fuel and we simply ask that you refill the vehicle with the correct type of fuel on return. Therefore, you only pay for the fuel you use.

What if the driver at fault isn’t insured?

Unfortunately, we will not be able to help you if this is the case.
