If it is “written off” (beyond repair), you can continue using your Claimsline courtesy car for another 7 days, so you have time to arrange a new vehicle.

5. Claim for recoverable losses

Did any of your possessions (car seats etc.) get damaged during the accident? If so, we will help you identify any recoverable losses and help you claim. We want to make sure you don’t have to pay anything towards replacing your possessions.

6. Injury and loss of earnings claims

Manufacturer-approved body shops for vehicle repairs

We have access to a trusted network of manufactured-approved body shops around London and the UK. If your car needs fixing, one of the garages will evaluate the damage and repair the vehicle. We will ensure that you don’t get your vehicle back until it is as good as it was pre-accident. If your car is “written off” (deemed beyond repair), we will negotiate with the other driver’s insurance company to make sure you’re paid a fair amount.

Personal injury solicitors after a non-fault accident

You won’t have to pay anything because we recover all the costs from the at-fault driver's insurance company. Whether you drive a Punto, a Porsche, a van or anything in between, we’ll make sure you get a suitable replacement vehicle.

If your vehicle is deemed beyond reasonable repair (written off), you can continue using your courtesy car for an extra week. We will also negotiate with the other driver’s insurance company to make sure you’re paid a fair amount for having to replace the car.

Can I get a courtesy car if the at-fault driver doesn’t have insurance?

No, we can only provide replacement vehicles if the at-fault driver has insurance.

How much fuel should I put in my courtesy car?

Our replacement vehicles are usually supplied full of fuel and we only ask that you refill the vehicle with the correct type of fuel before you return it.

How long can I keep the car for?

Replacement vehicles are provided for the duration of the repair period. If your vehicle is written off after the accident you can use the replacement vehicle for an additional seven days.
